These terms are a contract between you and We-Dev Ltd. By creating an account you accept them. We record which version you accepted and when.

Happens is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use any part of the service. This is not waivable, including with a parent's or guardian's permission.
If we determine that you are under 18 we will suspend your account and delete your data. We keep only the minimum record needed to stop the account being recreated.
Which of these applies to you depends on what our checks show:
Until a decision is made you cannot be shown to other people and other people cannot be shown to you.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Tell us at info@we-dev.uk if you think someone else has access.
One account per person. Do not impersonate anyone or use another person's photographs.
Understanding this matters, because it is not like other dating apps.
There is no swiping and no browsing. You cannot search for people or look through a list. We match on compatibility from your answers to short scenarios, and you only learn who someone is when you are physically near each other and both discoverable. That moment is called a reveal.
Discovery is yours to control. "Discover me nearby" is off until you turn it on, and turning it off stops location collection and deletes the coordinates we held.
Declining ends contact. If you decline a reveal, that is permanent and mutual. The other person cannot propose to you, message you or notify you afterwards. It is enforced by the service.
Meeting up. Either of you can propose a place and time. Plans can be countered a limited number of times before the thread closes, so it cannot become a way to keep messaging someone.
Badges. Some badges come from your personality answers. The "Shows Up" badge comes from meet-ups that both people confirmed happened. Nobody can give you a bad mark: there is no negative score in Happens, and one person acting alone can never damage another's standing.
Voice introductions and photographs are optional and can be removed at any time.
Do not use Happens to harass, threaten, defraud or endanger anyone. Do not contact someone who has declined you — declining ends contact, and this is enforced by the service, not only by this document.
You can report another person, including if you believe they are under 18. Reports are not visible to the person reported.
Happens introduces people who are physically nearby. Meeting someone you have matched with is your decision and at your own risk. We do not carry out criminal record checks or verify anything about a person beyond age. Meet in public, tell someone where you are going, and stop if you feel unsafe.
You can delete your account at any time in the app. Deletion removes your data; it is not a deactivation flag.
We may suspend or end your account if you breach these terms, if we conclude you are under 18, or if we must to protect other users. Where we can, we will tell you why.
Happens is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features we will tell you before you are charged, and you will never be charged without agreeing first.
You keep ownership of your photographs, voice recording and everything else you put on Happens. You give us permission to store and display it to the people you are matched with, for the purpose of running the service. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
Do not upload anything you do not have the right to use, or anything unlawful, sexual or violent.
Happens is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or free of faults, and we may change or withdraw features.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Otherwise, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for the conduct of other users — including anything that happens when you meet someone.
Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.
We record which version of these terms you accepted. If we change them materially we will ask you to accept the new version rather than assume your earlier agreement covers new wording.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
